Aging Powerfully: My Daily Non-Negotiables
Kelley Butler · The Journal
Aging powerfully is not about one magic thing. It's about the boring stuff you do every day.
I get asked constantly what my secret is. The honest answer is that there is no secret, there is just consistency. The same handful of habits, done daily, for years. They are not glamorous and they don't go viral, but they work.
Here are my real non-negotiables. I move my body every single day, no exceptions, even when it's just a walk. I protect my sleep like it's my job. I get sunlight early. I strength train, because muscle is one of the best longevity tools we have and most women are not building enough of it.
I also take my mornings seriously, because that's when I'm most productive and most myself. And yes, I've been doing the longevity things, meditation, cryotherapy, the supplements, since before any of it was trendy.
None of this requires perfection. It requires showing up. The compounding effect of small, consistent habits will out-perform every miracle in a jar, every time.
Start with one. Pick the easiest one on this list and do it for thirty days. That's how all of mine started.
xo, Kelley
